Sweet & Spicy Bacon



Dairy Free Nut Free Fish Free Soy Free Gluten Free 

A spicy, yet sweet, twist to boring bacon. Great also on BLT's!

2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, plus a bit more for spicier bacon!
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound of thick cut bacon (Check label for allergens)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a small bowl stir together the sugar and the spices.

On a broiler pan, arrange the bacon slices in a single layer. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, on the middle rack (so the bacon is not directly under the heat elements).

Turn the bacon over, and sprinkle with the sugared spices. Place back in oven and continue to cook until the bacon is crispy and brown, about 15 minutes more.

Drain excess oil on paper towel, and serve hot.

Serves about 6.
