Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies



Fish Free Soy Free Gluten Free 

Who needs chocolate chips when you can have…. Blueberries! Omit the walnuts if nut allergies are a concern. Make sure you use Certified Gluten-Free oats if gluten is a concern in your diet.  


½ cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
¾ cup of granulated sugar
2 eggs
2¼ cup of gluten-free all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup quick cooking gluten-free certified oats
1 cup of chopped walnuts (Omit for nut-free)
1½ cups of blueberries; washed, any stems removed and dried well
Butter or  margarine for greasing the cookie sheets


Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F.

In a large bowl cream the butter. Gradually add in both sugars. Next beat in the eggs, and stir in the remaining ingredients, except for the blueberries.

Once all the ingredients are well blended, very gently fold in the blueberries.

Prepare a cookie sheet, by lightly greasing. Drop the cookie batter a spoonful at a time onto the sheet(s).

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned and done in center.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
