WIN-It-Wednesday: Michael Season’s Snacks
Seasoned and spicy potato chips can often be off-limits to those with celiac disease or food allergies. Hidden among the tasty seasonings and flavorings, gluten and other allergens can lurk and hide.
That’s why I’m a fan of Michael Season’s Snacks. Gluten-free with no preservatives, artificial colorings, flavorings or MSG, these snacks are full of flavor but not full of the stuff you don’t need.
The newest edition of the Michael Season’s line-up is the Mediterranean Thin & Crispy Potato Chips. Perfectly seasoned with black pepper, oregano, basil and rosemary these chips are not only delicious, but have 30% less fat than other chips. The other Thin & Crispy Chip (that are all reduced fat as well) varieties include: Honey Barbeque, Salt & Pepper, Unsalted and Lightly Salted (perfect for those of you watching your sodium levels). They also make a reduced fat Ripple Chip that is perfect for dipping.
Michael Season’s also makes Baked Puffs and Curls. These come in fab flavors such as Jalapeno and Hot Chili Pepper. And just two weeks ago, Rachael Ray selected the Baked Puffs as her Snack of the Day! How delish is that?
Another product line Michael Season makes is the Baked Potato Crisps. These crunchy chips that stand up to even the biggest of dippers have 70% less fat than potato crisps.
All-natural and reduced fat snacking choices, paired up with fun and tasty flavors, are reasons why BeFreeForMe is excited to announce that Michael Season’s Mediterranean Potato Chips are featured in this week’s WIN-It-Wednesday prize package!
Two lucky BeFreeForMe members will win a prize pack that includes a re-usable tote packed with the new Mediterranean Chips, plus Chip-Clips.
How can you win?
Easy?

MY backyard is my sanctuary. I live in the country and after a stressfull day at work I love to come home and watch the birds ,deer, wild turkeys and whatever wanders through. The cares of the day just melt away.

Phyllis – Same with me! One morning, awhile back, there was a deer and 2 babies out playing in my backyard. That day started out amazing and with a smile on my face… =)

a quiet place in my heart while listening to Christian music and reading God’s word

My favorite get away spot is anywhere you can hear the sounds of waves crashing. I find the sound very relaxing.

The mediterranean chips sound awesome! One of our favorite places to go is Pehrson’s Lodge on Lake Vermillion. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Love hearing the loons in the morning!

The place that I’ve gone in my life that is a great relaxation spot is Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I went there once for a family wedding and then liked it so much that my husband and I went there on our honeymoon. The ocean is bright turquoise and wonderfully warm. The sand is white, soft, and fine like flour. The fresh tropical mangos and guavas are so refreshing. It was not yet Americanized when I was there so it was a real retreat from everyday life.

The front porch of the farmhouse where I grew up and my family has relaxed for generations is where I go to put the world away for a while. Not exotic, just magic.

I am bummed. I don’t have a sanctuary. That is something that I need to make a priority in finding. I do enjoy a long, hot bath when I am stressed and need some alone time. Hmmm…
August 4th, 2010 at 12:42 pm
Sarah… Yes you DO! =) The hot bath and some down time IS the sanctuary for you… and many of the rest of us out here! It’s the day-to-day little enjoyments that mean the most.
I forgot to mention that my other sanctuaries are my backyard hammock (in the summer) and “my chair and blanket” with a good movie (during a snow storm).
Silly, Simple… but yet – MY Sanctuary!

My favorite Mediterranean island is in the Cyclades group of Islands belonging to Greece called Antiparos. It is a tiny island known for its fishing village. I loved staying there many moons ago, enjoyed the people, beautiful sunsets, fresh fish and fabulous salads.

My bathtub is my sanctuary, where I can light a candle, maybe put good music into the cd player, and focus on caring for myself. This was never a priority for me, but now that my husband has passed away I need to start taking care of me.

The beach is my sanctuary. Meditating to the sounds of the waves and birds is unbelievably peaceful. My favorite is Cresent Beach south of St. Augustine, Fl. The sand is golden and sugar soft. The tide pools fill with starfish that bury themselves in the sand when the tide goes out. Amazing.

My sanctuary-away-from-it-all is my brand new front porch, sitting with my husband after my son has gone to bed! We enjoy the breeze, the quietness of the street, nice conversation and always have the perfect view of the rising moon!

My garden and my church – I love to be alone working in my garden and looking at all the wonderful things that God has created. My church is filled with the most loving people I have ever met – I am at total peace as soon as I enter the doors of Club Zion in Cocoa Beach Florida.

I love the ocean sunset as a treat to relax, but these days a peaceful shower is good enough, with a toddler discovering the world around the house, I learned to value simple moments.

since i live in a very hot dry place- my favorite place is an easy chair in my den i enjoy the quiet of the morning and say my prayers there every morning when i lived by the ocean many years ago i enjoyed hearing the gulls and the waves

This may sound odd, but sitting in the bedroom closet, no lights, no people, just quiet stillness, is a sanctuary to me!

My back yard is my sanctuary. I can see my flowers and garden, also watch the humminng birds and wrens.
August 5th, 2010 at 8:34 pm
New chips sound wonderful. My sanctuary is the visualization of a long ago visited campsite..quiet, secluded, by the river…calm, peaceful, water lapping gently with a beautiful red sunset!

Every year we go to the same resort in Sanibel Island. We take a week to relax and get away from life. I love it ’cause we sit by the beach all day – no make-up, a ponytail and a glass of sangria!
August 5th, 2010 at 10:44 pm
When all the kids are down for a nap, I sit on the couch, prop my feet up, turn the t.v. off, and just breathe 🙂

My daily sanctuary is my kitchen. When I need to mentally ‘get away’ I cook. Instead of focusing on my stress, I focus on creating something delicious! Our family get away is a little lake in Arkansas – a quiet cabin, a quiet woods and a peaceful lake. Ahh!

I think sitting on the patio looking out at the pond with a glass of wine in hand would have to be my sanctuary.
August 6th, 2010 at 2:42 pm
I love sitting on my front deck listening to the crickets and cicadas, sometimes roadrunners, too. We live out in the desert where there are few humans, only nature, and our kitties. So peaceful and relaxing with our plants all around!
August 6th, 2010 at 3:55 pm
My sanctuary is my gardens…I have probably an acre of just colorful flowers…I could live out there! This year has allowed me to be out there often due to the hot weather! It just calms me to walk into a garden and enjoy the wildlife and flowers! Wish all year was summer!
On a different note-I have never heard of this brand and am curious who carries them!
August 6th, 2010 at 6:23 pm
My sanctuary would have to be watching my little dogs nap – as strange as that sounds. They (3 of them) are so dear to me and take good care of me.
August 7th, 2010 at 11:18 am
I don’t even have to leave the house, but being in bed is my sanctuary! I love it (it’s beautiful :D) and I lay down and just gather my thoughts…peaceful and practical, and still in a way I’m getting things done, well, figuring out my priorities…
August 7th, 2010 at 11:23 pm
I love my upstairs porch with a cool breeze, on a quiet weekday its almost like I live in the middle of nowhere!
August 10th, 2010 at 11:48 am
I love the energy of being near large old-growth trees–even one tree will do. When the wind blows and the leaves rustle and a bird sings, I forget everything and just relax in my mind.
