Slow Cooker Pasta Sauce
Just make some gluten-free pasta and your Italian feast is ready pronto!
1½ pounds of ground chuck, browned; or 1 pound of ground chuck, browned & ½ pound of ground Italian sausage, browned
1 medium onion chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped well
1 14-ounce can of chopped tomatoes (Check label for allergens)
2 6-ounce cans of tomato paste (Check label for allergens)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried basil
1-2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons dried oregano
Mix the browned meat, onions, celery, canned tomatoes and spices together in a medium to large size slow cooker. Set on low heat, cover and cook for about 8-10 hours.
Serve with gluten-free pasta.
Serves 4-6.
