Sweet & Sticky Chicken Drumsticks
Great for appetizers or a main course. Use chicken wings or drummettes, if desired!
2 tablespoons water
1 ½ tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (Check label for allergens)
2-3 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoons molasses
Salt and pepper, to taste
2-3 teaspoons olive oil
6 chicken drumsticks, skinned
Combine the first eight ingredients oil in a large bowl. Whisk well.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Wash & dry the chicken, and rub it with a bit more salt and pepper, as desired. When the oil is hot, add the chicken to the pan and cook until a golden brown.
Next, add the honey/molasses mixture to the pan, and turn the chicken to coat well. Cover and cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 15-18 minutes. Remove from heat and cool before serving.
Serves 6 for a meal – 3 for an appetizer.
