Asian-Honey Grilled Fish Filets
A perfect reason to fire up the grill! Serve with white rice, and steamed broccoli or green beans. Try the marinade with boneless chicken breasts too.
3 tablespoons honey
¼ cup of olive oil, plus more to oil grill grates
4 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce (Check label for allergens)
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoons lime juice
½ cup chopped green onions, white and green parts, plus 2 tablespoons for garnish
3 teaspoons ground ginger
3 garlic cloves minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 pounds of fish filets (salmon, swordfish or tuna)
In a medium bowl whisk together the honey, ¼ cup of olive oil, soy sauce, orange juice and the lime juice. Next, mix in the chopped green onions, ginger, minced garlic and salt and pepper, to taste.
Wash and dry the fish filets and place in a shallow dish. Pour marinade over top of filets, and flip to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours to overnight.
When ready to cook, oil the grill grates on a gas grill and turn heat to high. Place the filets on the grates and cook. If using salmon, swordfish, or other fish that will not fall apart if turned, flip once and brush with additional marinade during the cooking time.
Cook filets until they start to flake with a fork.
Serve immediately and top with a chopped green onion garnish.
Serve 4.
