Crunchy Candy Delights
A quick and easy candy snack! Found years & years ago on a back of a condensed milk can, this recipe has been modified to be gluten-free!
1 (14-ounce can) condensed milk
2 bags (10 to 12-ounce) of white chocolate chips (Check label for allergens)
4 cups of gluten-free pretzels sticks – matchstick sized, slightly broken (we used Glutino)
About 1/4 bag (about 3-ounces) of milk chocolate chips (Check label for allergens)
1 cup of dried fruit (We love using Ocean Spray Craisins) or raisins, chopped
Line a baking dish (15’ x 10”) with aluminum foil.
In a large saucepan, heat the condensed milk over low heat, until warm. (About 5-6 minutes). Remove from the heat and stir in the white chocolate chips in stages, whiling stirring to melt. Next stir in the gluten-free pretzels.
Spread the mixture into the prepared baking pan, and sprinkle with the milk chocolate chips and the dried fruit. Press down on the mixture with the back of a spoon to pack down the dried fruit and chocolate chips.
Put in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set. Break into bite sized pieces and enjoy!
Makes about 3 dozen pieces.
