Lemon Herb Green Beans
A perfect holiday side! Replace green beans with 1 ½ pounds of trimmed asparagus, if desired.
1 ½ lbs (750 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons (30 mL) butter
1 teaspoon (5 mL) McCormick / Club House basil leaves
½ teaspoon (2 mL) McCormick / Club House oregano leaves
½ teaspoon (2 mL) McCormick / grated lemon rind
In large saucepan of boiling water, cook beans until tender-crisp, about 7 minutes. Drain well
and return to saucepan.
Add butter, basil, oregano and lemon peel and toss to coat. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Serves 6.
