Sauteed Garlic Infused Brussels Sprouts



Dairy Free Nut Free Fish Free Soy Free Gluten Free 

Even those that think they don’t like Brussels sprouts will love this dish! Sautéing the sprouts in Marconi® brand Extra Virgin Olive Oil make them tender and crisp. While the bacon, wine vinegar and Marconi® brand Garlic Infused Oil add a pleasing marinade. Perfect served any time of year.

½ cup finely chopped bacon or Canadian bacon (Check label for allergens!)
1 tablespoon Marconi® brand Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cup onion, thinly sliced
2 pints Brussels sprouts, washed, trimmed and cut in half lengthwise

Dressing:
½ cup Marconi® brand Garlic Infused Oil
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

 

Sauté the bacon until the fat is transparent and drain off excess fat. Add the Garlic Infused Olive Oil, garlic, onion and Brussels sprouts. Cook covered for about 10 minutes, or until the sprouts are just tender. Transfer to a bowl and cool.

Combine the dressing ingredients and mix well. Toss with the Brussels sprouts. Let marinate for 1 hour at room temperature, tossing during marinating. Serve at room temperature as an appetizer or warm through to serve as a side dish.
